The Aquinas basketball teams hit the road for a tough Region 4A-A matchup against Washington-Wilkes on Tuesday, January 12.

The Aquinas girls, who rebounded from a tough start last week by winning their Region 4A-A opener — a 33-24 win over Lincoln County on Jan. 8 — play the Lady Tigers in a 6 p.m. tipoff.

The Washington-Wilkes girls are looking for their first region win this season. The Lady Tigers are 6-7 overall this season, including an 0-2 start in Region 4A-A play with losses to Warren County and Taliaferro County.

The Fighting Irish boys are 9-4 overall and 1-0 in the region afer beating Lincoln County 64-49 on Jan. 8.

Next up for the Irish is Warren County on Friday, Jan. 15, at Warren County High School. Girls tipoff is at 6 p.m., while the boys game is at 7:30 p.m.
