After sparking the Irish to a win at Hancock Central Oct. 30, Aquinas sophomore quarterback Dane Anderson was named the Operation Football Live Player of the Week by WRDW News 12 on Nov. 4.

Anderson took his game to a new level against Hancock Central, completing 15 of 21 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns for the best performance of his young career.

"I just started throwing good from the beginning, and we caught it, that helps" Anderson told News 12. "I don't know if it was my decisions, it was just my receivers getting open and I was able to hit them in stride and they'd take it in."

 "He made some really good tosses" Aquinas coach Matt LeZotte told News 12. "I told him during the game after we decided not to put him back in at the end of the game, I went over to him and i was like Dane, you made some plays tonight, and I've been expecting it and that's what I expect from you. I was really proud of him."

Coming off his career-best performance, Anderson has a chance to lead the Irish back to the playoffs. With a win against Region 7-A rival Washignton-Wilkes on Friday, Nov. 6, the Irish still have a chance to clinch a playoff spot.
