Competing in their second event this season, Aquinas was the only Class A school at the event and was up against four Class AA schools. Aquinas tied for first place and also won the coveted Sportsmanship Award. The event was held at Jones County High School in Gray, Ga. Last month, the Lady Irish opened the season by finishing second at the Lady Panther Cheer Classic at Lakeside High School. Congratulations to coaches Jennifer Matthews and Matt Slocum and the Lady Irish Cheerleaders! The Aquinas Competition squad returns to action October 10 at McIntosh High School. |
