AQUINAS HIGH SCHOOL
For the past 25 years, the Aquinas Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) has generously shared their time, talent, and treasure by organizing and hosting the annual auction.  From the initial planning stages through the stroke of midnight on the night of the auction, this PTO fundraiser provides plenty of opportunities for participants to make new friends and get together with old friends in support of the Aquinas mission. 

Auction proceeds provide tuition assistance for our students and enhance student learning through the purchase of items like interactive white boards, lab materials, educational software, and classroom supplies. 

This year, our auction theme is Wild Wild West. The Western themed event will feature both a silent and live auction, as well as a $1,000 drawing, great food, and great times.

Make your plans now to spend Saturday, November 5 at the Aquinas Wild Wild West Auction. Get your tickets while shopping at First Thursday from the Aquinas Auction table. You can also get them from the Aquinas office or by emailing kstrickland@

The cost of this delightful evening is just $70 per person.

A SPECIAL OFFER FROM KNOLOGY
Knology has agreed to donate $25 to Aquinas High School for every person who signs up for Knology service on First Thursday.

This month's food sampling will be hosted by The P.I. Bar and Grill. New Executive Chef, Winston Allen, will be providing the restaurant's famous Shrimp and Grits and his very own Homemade Berry Cobbler.  The P.I. Bar and Grill will be launching a new menu so make sure to stop by our neighborhood dining establishment for the delicious modern southern cuisine.  Or come by to enjoy one of the daily drink specials on the verandah.  Friday and Saturday nights feature live entertainment and the restaurant is still holding title of Best Sunday Brunch by Augusta Magazine for over 15 years.

As October's First Thursday approaches, I would like to take this opportunity to mention all the events that will taking place. First, the businesses mentioned above will be donating a portion of their sales from First Thursday to Aquinas. At 6 pm and 7 pm, the Aquinas Drumline will be performing in front of the shops on Kings Way. And back by popular demand, Mrs. Dee Hemmingway will be entertaing the crowd by performing hit songs from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Two Moms Cookies, a new business and neighbor to us, will be handing out samples of their freshly baked cookies. Be sure stop by each shop and check out their First Thursday offerings!
