Fightin Irish Boosters Club

Dear Friend of Aquinas,

The Aquinas High School Athletic Program had another very good year for the 2009-10 School year! The Men’s Athletic program ended the year as the 4^th best program in Class A in the state of Georgia and 8^th place combined Men’s and Women’s in the Georgia Directors Cup. (The baseball team led the way last year winning the region and playing at home ran through the playoffs all the way to the State Championship Series, hosting the 1^st State Title series in baseball at our home field, bringing with it great publicity for Aquinas and much needed revenue for the school and the Boosters Club. Way to go Coach Laney and the baseball team, you made us very proud to be Irish!!!!! Other sports did great also. Aquinas student athletes also brought home Region Championships in Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Tennis, Men’s Tennis, and Men’s & Women’s Golf. Boys Basketball made it to the Elite 8 in the State Tournament. Boys Soccer made it to the State Semi-Final game, Girl’s Soccer made it to the State Quarterfinals. Boys Tennis made it to the State Final 4, Girl’s Tennis made it to the Sweet 16. Men’s and Women’s Golf teams made it to the State Tournament. The Aquinas community can be proud of all the accomplishments of our Student Athletes in 2009-10.

The Aquinas Boosters Club is committed to donating $50,000 to the Athletic Programs at Aquinas. These funds go directly into the athletic department budget and are used as the athletic director sees fit. The funds go to support ALL athletic teams at Aquinas High School. The money raised goes to equipment and uniforms, maintenance equipment and the maintenance of our facilities. The Booster’s Club needs your help to make this happen. Aquinas obviously receives no public funds but all teams in our region are public schools your support of the Boosters Club will help even out the playing field for our student athletes.

The majority of Boosters Club funds are derived from our membership drive. We have seven different membership levels to choose from, so there is a level for every budget. The different membership levels include passes to all regular season home athletic events, and we need

you to come out and support the Fightin’ Irish!

The Boosters Club has a great website at goirishonline.org with schedules and results, pictures and a lot more information on the athletic program at Aquinas. Please visit the site and check it out for yourself. All Boosters Club members will be acknowledged on the website.
